Laying every burden down

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
– Matthew 11:28

Where else can we be guaranteed such rest? What is there on earth that will satisfy us more than turning to Jesus and asking Him to look after our burdens? No burden is too great for Him, for He knows us better than we know ourselves and he knows how to deal with our earthly problems.
There is no greater load or burden than that of sin, and Christ has already paid the price in full for our sins at Calvary. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8.
Yet we still sin, we must still come to ask forgiveness each day, to put ourselves right with God, to apologize for the wrong we have done and the hurt we have caused. At times when I have not been walking so strongly with the Lord, I have endured sleepless nights, due to the weight of my sin. I kept running to the world looking for something to satisfy me, but I could only find temporary fixes, there is only one way to be free from sin, and that is to repent before God.
Nothing brings peace like it, so come today and bring every sin, every trouble, every struggle in your life before God, and let Him do great things in your life.
