Our Origins

Around 3 years ago we here at ServingtheServant tried to establish a blog, but due to lack of knowledge, time, skill and other things it was aborted and sadly forgotten. Good news is, we’re back! Bigger, Bolder, Brighter and Bloggier! We are a small group of born again believers who have trusted Christ to save us and take us to heaven when we die. Part of being a Christian is evangelism, or spreading the gospel. Our aim here is to spread the gospel and encourage other young Christians (we are both under 18).

Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” and with this mindset in place we aim to succeed in our vision to spread the gospel and invigorate the believer.

Our name, ServingtheServant, comes from a biblical basis. Philippians 2:7 says “But made himself (talking about Jesus) of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” Here we see that Jesus came as a servant. Romans 6:22 talks about us, as believers, becoming servants of God. So therefore we are Serving the Servant!

The verse under the title, 1 Corinthians 9:19, is there to show others our spirit of servitude here at ServingtheServant. We are justified, free from sin and man, but we have made ourselves servants so that we can gain more for Christ. We are putting the time and effort into this blog to see the furtherance of Christ.
