Glenn (G.)

Hi everyone! I’ll keep this brief for now! As a child I was brought up in a Christian home, attended church and sunday school and from a young age knew my need of a Saviour. On Boxing Day, 26th December 2004, a tsunami hit Sri Lanka, killing many people, and it made me think, where would I be if I were suddenly to be caught up in such a sudden disaster? Hell. It was that day that I first gave my life to the Lord, but I didn’t understand much about the Christian lifestyle, I just saw Salvation as a guarantee of avoiding Hell. It wasn’t until I attended a local youth rally in June 2009 that I fully understood the commitment of the Christian life as God spoke to me over the course of the three nights. On the final night, broken and teary eyed I prayed in the back room of the church with the pastor and rededicated my life to the Lord, this time it was real, I knew I was saved, despite all of my previous sins in my backslid state. “For by grace are ye saved through faith, not of works, lest any man should boast.” – G.
